Bill Roth
Bill has been playing volleyball since 1994. He was an all-state player at William Tennent and played four years of Division 2 volleyball at East Stroudsburg University. He started three years as an outside hitter, despite being 5’11”. He continues to play at a high level today, winning AA doubles in 2022 and playing open divisions in quads and indoor sixes. He has come in first place at the Pottstown Rumble four times in quads open, doubles A and most recently Masters 40+. He has coached at Infinity for the past four years, Unami middle school for the past two, and runs the boy’s junior development program for TNT.
Coaching PhilosophyI believe that players need to learn to play all positions at this age to be more well-rounded. There is too much emphasis on specialization to win medals at tournaments than on player development. I play my favorites. My favorite players are those that work hard in practice, put work in at home, have good attitudes and would rather see the team win over personal statistics.
