Coaching Philosophy
I maintain an Athlete first approach to the sport. Everything I practice has an end purpose of improving the the athletes I work with. This refers not only to volleyball skills, but team skills, and life skills as well. I will not allow athletes to participate if I know they are injured, nor if I know that other areas of their life are being negatively impacted by participation.

Playing Experience
I was a multi-sport athlete in high school playing soccer and running track. In college I played soccer, and continued after college playing in the Schaffer League and Mercer Major League until I was 27 and started focusing on volleyball. I played in local leagues from high school until someone saw me playing and convinced me to try out for a UAV Club team. There I played on our BB team, then was promoted the following year to A, and later that second year to AA. In addition, I played beach volleyball at the AA and then Open level, mostly with the Jersey Shore Volleyball Association.
Best Coaching Memory
So many to choose from... I loved winning the Silver Bracket Championship with my U15's team at Panthers, placing us 5th overall at the National Championships in Dallas. I loved winning our District Championship after an undefeated season in 2019 at CB East High School. But I really love watching young players as they "get it", and start to really enjoy the game. I have so many memories...like when I coached a Middle Attacker who had only been playing a couple months. He blocked our opponent's hardest hitter straight down, and turned with a look of pure joy, enthusiasm, and surprise. All those types of moments are priceless.
Favorite Quote - So many ...

Favorite Movies - The Princess Bride and It's a Wonderful Life.
Fun Fact - Too many to name. ;-)
When I'm Not Coaching, I'm ... Working my regular job, or spending time with family.
