Alysa McDevitt

Alysa is entering her fifth year coaching Club Volleyball, the last four of which with TNT as our 17s National Coach.  In addition, Alysa is the Assistant Head Coach at Delaware Valley College, having joined the program in 2022. Prior to coaching, Alysa was a four year starter at Lycoming College, where she was a perennial leader in the conference for hitting percentage and ultimately recognized as Lycoming’s All-Time Letter Winner.  She continues to play competitive indoor and outdoor volleyball and still supports the program at her alma-mater, Archbishop Wood High School.  

Background

I started playing volleyball when I was 10 years old and ever since, the sport has become a huge part of who I am as a person.  I started out my early career as a setter but, due to my 6'1" stature I was trained as a middle hitter as soon as I got to high school.  I played for 4 years at Archbishop Wood High School in Warminster, PA. I continued my athletic career at Lycoming College where I was a 4 year starter.  In my time at Lycoming I led my team in hitting percentages and finished in the top of the conference each year and was eventually named an All-Time Letterwinner for the program.

I graduated from Lycoming College in the spring of 2020 and began my coaching career in 2021 where I coached for the Archbishop Wood Women's Volleyball team as the Head JV Coach and Assistant Varsity coach.  During the spring I have spent the last two years coaching club volleyball; further developing the skill sets of my athletes during their off-season.  I am now currently serving as the assistant coach to the Delaware Valley University Women's Volleyball team.
